Solid Mountain

I enjoyed the top to bottom runs here, which made for longer times on the slopes than you get at most places in the east. The well known front four were partially open when I was there and provided a nice challenge. They were a welcome departure from the pervasive blue groomers. An earlier commenter was right that there aren't many bump runs here and the ones they had were badly skied off. The glades, on the other hand, were great and had tons of nice snow.

Not too Shabby

For the east coast Killington is a fine mountain. It has a lot of terrain and it has tons of snowmaking capacity for those not-so-powdery weeks we have out here sometimes. Crowds are always an issue. Don't bother looking for the part of the mountain that doesn't have them-- there is none. Overall, though, for east coast skiing it's hard to beat Killington.

Great Place

Nice place... Lots of stuff to ski... Definitely checkout Honeycomb Canyon while you're there. No crowds ever...

Big Cottonwood Canyon is the place to be.

A Nice Place to Slide

Deer Valley is great because of its amenities. The lodges are well appointed and have good food, most of the runs are groomed, limited lift ticket sales keep it uncrowded, etc., etc. You'll pay more for a lfit ticket because of all of this, but it sure is nice.

Go here for a day of cruising, not to practice for your next out-of-bounds backpacking trip, and you'll be happy.

A Fine Mountain

Plenty of trails for all different abilities...

Park City is a great ski town. Plenty of apres-ski opportunities and enough shopping to keep non-skiers in your group happy.

It's nearby to both the Canyons and Deer Valley. Spend a week or two in Park City and check out all three resorts.

Fun and Easy

Mount Snow has tons of terrain for intermediate skiers and below. You'll get tired of it if you ski here too much and are above intermediate, but it's a fun mountain and well worth checking out.
