Great little ski area

We visited Mt. Hood in January 2007 - largely to ski at the larger and better-known Mt. Hood Meadows. But our condo in Government Camp came with free tickets to the Skibowl, so we stopped over to give it a try.

What a nice little ski area!!!

It had snowed heavily the night before we visited - allowing the mountain to open up a vast, funky "outback" area offering hundreds of acres of skiing in the trees and on steep, wild and natural trails.

Skibowl is largely served by a pair of double chairs. One goes halfway up the hill and serves beginner terrain. The other runs up the middle of a large, steep and open bowl. It's an expert's dream with good snow!

Nice hill ... though intermediates won't find much here.
