Nice mountain, smaller crowds than its neighbor

Beaver Creek has a nice variety of trails. There are plenty of long bump runs in addition to nicely groomed slopes. My favorite run was the Birds of Prey world cup course. There is a terrain park you can cut through to get to the start of the mens downhill course, allowing you to practice for the Winter X-Games and the World Cup all on one run (Full disclosure: I am ready for neither).

The lodges are great and there is a chance you'll run into a celebrity. On our trip, my friend bumped into the guy who played Goose in Top Gun. He was in line for the chili. Maverick was no where to be seen.

Overall, Beaver Creek is a solid mountain with smaller crowds than its neighbor to the east, Vail. Like Vail, Beaver Creek is fairly expensive, probably more so than other resorts in the area.
