Okemo is an intermediate paradise between the grooming and the steepness (or lack of) the terrain. Some of the blacks here ski like more challenging blues at other areas. However, it can get very crowded on weekends and it seems like it would be more pleasant to ski mid-week. In fact, I would say that skiing there on some weekends (not even holidays!) can be like skiing on an interstate. During these busy days, dining on the main mountain can be a challenge (no seating). To solve this, make your way over to the Jackson Gore base area and eat there-- less crowded.

Overall I really enjoy skiing Okemo and like the product they are selling, as it is perfect for me as an intermediate skier. One thing I will say about it though is that all the trails seem kind of generic-- like it's hard to tell one from the other.
