Hard to figure this place out...This was my first time at Canyons. A lot of confusion at this resort. It's weirdly laid out and if you're not careful, you can spend a lot of time on cat tracks and runs that aren't very long. The tree riding is also a bit random, we found most spots to be too dense and the runs were short. Trails weren't marked as well as they could be.

Don't BotherWith so many other great places to ski in Utah, I'd skip this one. Didn't enjoy it the first time two years back. Didn't like it any better last year, so I'm done.

Eastern Style Trails, Western Style SnowLiked the ability to get lost and away from the crowds. Overall a great ski area once we figured out how to get around. |

Canyons - really a Diamond that needs polishingI really love the terrain off of the 9990 lift. There are bumps, trees chutes and steeps - everything an advanced skier craves. I particularly love to go all the way through the gates to skier's left and ski all the way down to Red Pine lodge. It's steep, long and has many small chutes to navigate. It's especially awesome on a powder day! |

AlrightThe Canyons is ok. Sure it is huge and has a ton of trails, but nothing really makes sense. Trails that are "groomed" really are not, and most of the intermediate trails end up being catwalks. If you are a beginner to intermediate skier: STAY AWAY, if not then you will probably find something to ski well. However, for the price I would stick to Park City and Deer Valley. |

Worst ski resort we've been to in 20 yearsThe trails dead end. The tombstone lift broke and had to wait for a bus from Salt Lake to take us out. The trails are difficult to connect and traverse. The trails are not well-groomed in fact the daily reports lie about what is groomed. Not enough restaurants or bathrooms on the mountain. The support services are not enough for the crowds. The food is very limited and not very good. The bus service to the Canyons is very limited. |

It's OK at best9990 after a few feet of fresh is worth the ticket. Other than that stay away. |

Enormous, something for everyoneThe Canyons is just so big. I skied there for one day in January '06, and I feel like I barely scratched the surface of what's there.
